I think we can all agree that the food is always going to be exceptional at Gens! But what makes the experience truly memorable is the service, I happen to get Jason as my waiter and he was incredible, friendly, professional, on point, and fast despite the place being pretty busy.. It's really something to have cutlery and refills come without asking for them multiple times. Amazing stuff!

I had an outstanding meal and service here last night. I come from Southern California and have frequented the Gen KBBQs around the area, but this location in Texas exceeded my expectations! The meat and appetizers tasted fresh, and our order came faster than I had initially experienced back home. Michael was our server and was very welcoming and friendly attentive guy with a great attitude, my table loved him. It's a shame the Gens in California aren't as good as this one. We had a remarkable dinner and exceptional service, and I could see myself coming again with friends and family whenever we visit Arlington. Highly recommend.

My husband and I love KBBQ and we’ve been coming to Gens for a while now. Today we met our server Jason and he took care of us for sure! He was extremely attentive and friendly. His service was quick. We’ll definitely be coming back and requesting him every time now. 10/10

First time Korean BBQ. The food was amazing and it was a fun experience. We were tucked away in a corner so it was a bit hard to get our waiter’s attention. The floors feel a bit slippery too, so watch your step!

Food was good overall, but there was a complete lack of urgency and attentiveness throughout the entire experience. From the moment we walked in, there was already a line of customers standing at the front waiting to be helped, and not a single employee greeted or acknowledged anyone coming in. There were multiple employees standing around the front area, yet no one seemed to take initiative or create any sense of hospitality. We were really hungry, so we decided to stay anyway. Once we were seated, the burner at our table kept going out — it happened twice. The manager came over and mentioned that it was probably because food gets stuck in the burner. The quickest and most customer-focused solution would have been to immediately move us to another table, but that didn’t happen until I personally requested it. At that point, I would’ve expected the service to become more attentive to help turn the experience around, but unfortunately that wasn’t the case. We constantly had to get up and look for our server whenever we needed something. Requests took a long time, were forgotten, or we had to remind the server multiple times. Delivers on what makes Korean BBQ such a standout experience. The variety of banchan really sets the tone from the start they’re fresh, consistently refilled, and honestly one of the highlights of the meal. The bulgogi and kalbi are flavorful, tender, and cook up well right at the table, which keeps the whole experience interactive and worth it every time. What makes this place work is the balance you’re not just going for the meat, you’re going for the full spread and the pace of the meal. It’s a spot that feels just as good for a casual night as it does for a group outing. A little advice if it’s your first time come hungry and pace yourself. It’s easy to over-order early, but the experience is better when you take your time, try different cuts, and actually enjoy the sides alongside the grill.

The food and service was amazing!! Our server Kobi P was super helpful with his suggestions and had an amazing attitude. He brought our rounds at a reasonable time and pace!! Overall, the experience was amazing especially because of our server! I will definitely come back to gen!!!

Food was good and the meat tasted fresh, which is obviously the most important part of a Korean BBQ experience. But nothing to rave about. They bring over some rice to enjoy with the meat with the regular choice. The menu and options are a bit confusing and took some time to understand. The vibes initially felt a little off, especially when we arrived around 9:50 pm—they took a while to confirm whether they would seat us even though they close at 10:30 pm. That said, once we were seated, the experience completely turned around. Our waiter provided some of the best service I’ve had in a long time—attentive, friendly, and made us feel genuinely welcome. Plenty of feee parking outside.
